to break up." Paul started a solo career, and, as he always did, he wrote his own songs.
He had a huge success again in the 80's with the „Graceland"-album. It was created under the influence of African music, which caused alot of discussions then. But at last, people recognised that other culures can be an enrichment and that there shouldn't be barriers between culures.
In 1997, Paul's musical „The Capeman" opened on Broadway. Again, discussions aroused, and critics let the show drop in their reviews. The last curtain fell in March 1998, only after a few amount of shows.
In 1999, Paul toured again, against all promises. This time, his show-partner was Bob Dylan, and the tour became one of the best payed in the USA.
Paul's working on his new album now, which shall be „more melody-based" again, and will probably be in your music store this fall!
